About ICER
The International Center for Education and Research (ICER) is an academic and research unit of VIT-Bangalore. The primary functions of ICER for the next two years will be as follows:
- Offer Post Graduate Programs (PGP) in advanced technological subjects and prepare students for higher studies overseas
- Offer the PGPs as one year of study at VIT-Bangalore and facilitate the completion of the Masters degrees at partner universities overseas in the second year (The program will be known as Master’s Overseas Program)
- Offer short-term technology programs for the Indian students at partner universities overseas
- Offer and support academic and research program at ICER VIT-Bangalore for international scholars and faculty
- Facilitate and support collaborative international projects at ICER
- Help with the special talent requirements of industry
- Serve as a platform for industry to develop and deploy a highly skilled workforce
- Serve as technology incubator for students, professionals, innovators, entrepreneurs and industry
